Artist Statement

A Soft Heart Is Stronger is a 3D Narrative Game that reflects on the current state of the world and the human condition that has led the world to be in such situations. A society is made up of individuals and thus each and every soul has a part to play in improving or worsening the overall state of the world.

The Muslim poet Rumi once said, “A candle loses none of its light when lighting another.” Yet how many of us guard our privilege with such ferocity that our hearts become hard to the suffering of others? The most frightening death is not the death of one’s body, but it is the death of one’s heart. We can never allow ourselves to view the suffering on a screen as an issue too complicated to feel passionate about. Nor should we ever allow ourselves to view the number of victims as just a number. Every soul is precious, and it is the least of our responsibility as humans to feel empathy for our fellow humans.

The beloved prophet Muhammed ﷺ (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Whosoever of you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; and if he is not able to do so, then [let him change it] with his tongue; and if he is not able to do so, then with his heart — and that is the weakest of faith.”
