Area of Research / Artistic Focus: Digital Media Business Strategies/Storytelling in Digital Media

Ryan worked on large-budget film and television projects at ABC, Disney, Paramount, and Universal Studios. One career highlight: he lived on the island of Oahu, Hawaii for 10 months working as the assistant to the director for the final season of ABC’s LOST. He also worked on SYFY’s ALPHAS and Paramount’s JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT.

Ryan developed his own screenplays as a writer, represented by United Talent Agency. He’s sold scripts to Imagine Entertainment, 20th Century Fox, and eOne Entertainment Studios. Storytelling will always be a part of his work ambition and he believes creating social media campaigns using digital media is a powerful way for brands to connect and tell stories.

Recent Achievements:  When COVID shut down campus in spring 2020, Ryan created the UConn School of Nursing’s Commencement 2020 Video. This past summer, he also produced the UConn School of Nursing Virtual Tour. He is currently helping the School of Nursing recruit participants for five research studies using Social Media and assisting in the DMD Social Media Analytics Command Center.

Fun Fact: Ryan has four “Back To The Future”-inspired tattoos.
