Raven fell in love with animation after watching the film Spirited Away. Inspired by the rich storytelling, memorable characters, and artistry and fluidity of Studio Ghibli works, she seeks to bring her own characters and worlds to life through animation and extended reality. A strong advocate for representation in media, her focus as an artist is to tell imaginative and impactful stories through a Black lens, and to explore diverse perspectives and experiences through immersive mediums. She enjoys reading, writing, and playing video games in her spare time, and hopes to travel around the world to study how other cultures tell stories to enrich her own narratives.
Raven sees herself as more than an artist. She is an engineer and a dreamer. A proud daughter of the African diaspora who weaves her wildest dreams into realities — sometimes with a dash of code.
