In the Digital Media & Design Department at UConn, we believe that for our students to best succeed in their future careers, they should have access to, and experience with, industry-standard tools. 

On the Storrs campus, in Bishop Center, we host newly renovated, state-of-the-art facilities. Highlights include a film production studio, motion capture Studio, VR / gaming studio, Cintiq high-performance computer Lab, Social Media Analytics Command Center, sound editing suite, and Digital Experience (DX) Lab.

On the UConn Stamford campus, DMD students have access to a new film studio, high-performance mac lab, and the Innovation Collaboration Space (ICS), a state-of-the-art technology lab designed to foster a culture of innovation and collaboration among the UConn Stamford community. Through the ICS, DMD students not only have access to advanced software applications dedicated to support the DMD program, but also 3D printers, a large format printer, 27’ wacom touchscreen cintiqs, VR and AR headsets, and a high-end video / audio editing suite.

DMD students at both campuses have exclusive access to advanced a/v equipment through our media cages, the Imagination Station in Storrs, and the Splash Pad in Stamford.
