Area of Research / Artistic Focus: Digital Humanities

Sylvia is a Digital Humanities enthusiast interested in the ways digital media transforms scholarly work. She believes that technology enhances traditional forms of knowledge by providing a variety of ways of analyzing information. Her academic background is in architecture and architectural history and this is where her research questions lie. In particular, Sylvia’s work examines postcolonial architecture of Africa. She ask questions about the significance of buildings and the meaning of architectural spaces. Sylvia is inspired by the ways digital media impacts learning of humanities subjects.
