Professor Hunter joined the faculty at the University of Connecticut in the fall of 2007 having spent the previous 25 years developing and producing national and international design projects through his New York City based company. His areas of expertise are in design thinking, interactive media design, digital media design & production, lighting and scenic design, and video projection design. He received his BGS from the University of Michigan in 1979 and MFA from the Yale School of Drama in 1982. He is a current member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and an Allied Member of the American Institute of Architects.

His interaction design, digital animations, digital media designs, and production portfolio includes projects for: A/X Armani Exchange, Boston Children’s Hospital, Bacardi, CNN, Comcast, Commerce Bank, Court TV, Dr. Pepper, Diversified Media Group, Euro RSCG, ExxonMobil, 444 Madison Avenue, Facebook, First Republic Bank, Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, Heineken, ING NYC Marathon, InStyle Magazine, JCDecuxNA, Liberty Travel, McCann Erickson Worldgroup, Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Microsoft, Movado, MSN Direct, Paramount Center, Philips (Color Kinetics), Pfizer, The Related Companies, Robert Wilson, Samsung, Sharp, Sony BMG, Sports Illustrated, Starbucks, TBS, and Time Warner Inc.
