DMD Club

One of the ways for DMD students to engage with each other and other UConn students is to participate in clubs.  There are clubs at the University-level that focus on a wide array of interests, hobbies, and activities.  To learn more about UConn student clubs and activities in general, please visit

For DMD-specific student clubs, please see below for more information:

The DMD Club is a place for students of any major who are interested in all things digital (animation, interactivity, social media, marketing, web design, photoshop, etc.).  The club meets every Thursday at 6:00pm to make online videos, watch movies, hold seminars and talk about the increasing popularity of digital into our everyday lives.  The DMD Club will also be available to provide digital services (creating logos, take pictures, video shoots, etc.) for other student organizations and groups around campus.  At the end of the day, DMD Club’s main purpose is to stimulate creativity while hanging out and having fun!

DMD Club’s main focus for the Fall 2015 semester will be producing a variety of online videos.

Meetings are every Thursday at 6:00pm in Bishop 006.  If you are interested in joining or would like additional information, please email Grace Colonia at

The Digital Media and Design community at UConn Stamford has established three students clubs, to support a growing community of energetic students who share similar interests in digital marketing, digital communications, and digital entertainment.

Meeting weekly, the DMD Club, After Effects Club, and Video Game Club offer opportunities to expand a student’s network and collaborate with likeminded individuals studying digital media. Members hear from industry professionals, participate in student orchestrated extra-curricular workshops, and run events like the Classic Video Game Challenge.
